No export at hand?

How do I get my export?

Strava

  1. On strava.com, open Settings → My Account.
  2. Under Download or Delete Your Account, click Get Started.
  3. Click Request Your Archive. A link to the ZIP arrives by email.

Keep Strava's language on English when you request it: the column names of activities.csv follow it.

Garmin Connect

  1. Sign in at garmin.com and open Account → Data Management.
  2. Choose Export Your Data and request the export.
  3. Garmin emails a link to the ZIP, which can take a few days.

Questions

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The ZIP is read by your browser on your device. nokudos has no server, no login and no analytics; the source code is on GitHub.

Do I need Strava Premium or Garmin Connect+?

No. Both exports are available on free accounts, and so is nokudos.

Why are personal bests missing for some activities?

Bests come from the GPS track of each activity. Treadmill, indoor and manual activities have no track, so they count in the totals but not in the bests or the map.

How big a file can it handle?

The ZIP is read piece by piece instead of all at once. Exports with thousands of activities take a minute or two, because every GPS track is decoded.
